You’d be forgiven for thinking that with Black Friday and Cyber Monday long gone, you’re too late to snag a discounted Fitbit device. Well, you are forgiven, but you are also wrong. Much to our surprise new deals have emerged, not quite as good as you’d find in November (the Fitbit Versa was down to £140 on Black Friday), but still very much worth telling you about.

While you can find bigger deals on other fitness trackers and cheaper devices that offer more features, there are good reasons to insist on a Fitbit – the brand has become synonymous with fitness trackers for a good reason. If you’re not dedicated to a particular sport like running or cycling, and just want to keep an eye on your activity and get a bit fitter, Fitbit is second to none thanks to its easy-to-use app and features.

The good news is that Fitbit isn’t the only company that sells Fitbits so we’ve done some scouring to find you all the deals on all the Fitbits, and flagged up the best ones.

The best of the best? As of right now we’d plump for the Ionic, which boasts the most features, and Amazon’s offering the biggest price cut in absolute terms (£80 off). Although the Fitbit Charge 2 for £80 is tempting too…

Fitbit Versa

The Versa is Fitbit’s most recent smartwatch, released in spring this year. It runs on the same operating system as the Ionic but is sleeker and smaller, swapping built-in GPS for connected GPS, which uses your phone. We’re betting a lot of people have included it on their letter to Santa (we all still do that, right?) and the good news (for Santa) is that it’s easily found for less than the £200 RRP.

The best deal: Amazon’s £159 for the standard device is 20% off the RRP. Buy now

  • Amazon also offers the lavender special edition (meaning you get a fancy lavender strap) for £179 (RRP £219.99) and the charcoal special edition for £189. Buy now
  • Fitbit’s sale, which runs until the 19th December, knocks £20 off the standard device and the special edition. Buy now

Fitbit Ionic

Our favourite Fitbit, because the combo of built-in GPS and music storage means we can run without our phone. The automatic Run Detect feature is also fantastic, and a similar function appeared on the latest Apple Watch.

The best deal: Amazon blows the competition out of the water at £199. Buy now

  • Amazon also discounts the Adidas special edition by 20% to £239.99. Buy now
  • Again, Fitbit is offering a not-as-good discount. The standard is £219.99 and the special edition is £279.99. Buy now

Fitbit Charge 3

This new release that adds swim tracking to the popular Charge 2 is, well, new so we don’t expect any advances on the £129.99 RRP.

Fitbit Charge 2

The still-excellent-after-two-years Charge 2 is now an absolute bargain at the £80 offered by Amazon and Currys (do ignore the percentage price cut though, the £139.99 RRP is fanciful considering the Charge 3 is cheaper at £129.99). That said, connected GPS, a heart rate monitor and entry to Fitbit’s marvellous ecosystem for well under £100 adds up to great value in our book.

You can also get the special editions from Fitbit and Amazon for £100. The special editions do look better, with unique strap colourways (black/gunmetal, blue-grey or lavender) paired with an upgraded material for the body (stainless steel or 22-carat rose gold). Otherwise, the features and functions are the same.

The best deal: £80 on Amazon. Buy now

  • Currys also has it for £80 if you prefer it to Amazon, or if Amazon’s out of stock. Buy now
  • Fitbit is selling special editions for £99.99. Buy now

Fitbit Alta HR

Fitbit’s slimmest tracker with a heart rate monitor (the hardware that unlocks the best of Fitbit’s features) has had its price knocked down by Fitbit to £80 (which Amazon has, of course, matched). That means it’s the same price as the Charge 2. The key differences are that the Alta HR is better suited to everyday tracking, while the Charge 2 is bulkier and better at tracking workouts and, thanks to the addition of connected GPS, outdoor runs and rides.

The best deal: Fitbit’s offer of £80. Buy now

Fitbit Alta

The Best Fitness Trackers of 2016: Fitbit Alta

While we’d recommend the Alta HR or Flex 2 (below), at Currys’ price of £60 the Alta is reasonably priced for a basic tracker with a screen.

The best deal: Currys £59.99. Buy now

Fitbit Flex 2

It’s just a band with no screen, but the standout feature is that it’s a basic swim tracker. Not bad for £39 when Fitbit’s RRP is £69.99.

The best deal: Amazon’s £39. Buy now

Fitbit Aria 2 Smart Scales

If you already have a Fitbit device these WiFi-enabled smart scales make a great addition to your set-up because they’ll beam your weight, BMI and body-fat percentage into the app, allowing you to see what effect your activity is having on some of your vitals. Fitbit has dropped the price by a reasonable 17%, as it did during the Black Friday period.

The best deal: Fitbit’s £99.99. Buy now

  • It’s also on Amazon for £99.99. Buy now
